What's growin'?

Yesterday we went up to Spokane for our third ultrasound. 18 weeks is a little early, but late enough that we could find out that we are having a girl! There go all the boys' names out the window and kind of back to the drawing board. But we have a few on the table and will let everyone know what we decide. The first picture is the 3D or 4D view of the face. (Upside down but there.) You can almost see a little smile there. The second is the hands with all five fingers on each. The third the general profile. Those of you familiar with ultrasounds will probably be able to tell what is what. Those of you who don't...well, join the club. This is a whole new world for us!

The Beginning...

It's the beginning of the belly and the beginning of the end of the belly button ring. Tomorrow marks 16 weeks of pregnancy. I am starting to notice definite changes and am feeling the baby move a bit every evening. I have a feeling it will be one of those that chooses to sleep during band time and be very active when I am resting! Will keep everyone posted on things as they progress.

Carving it up

We brought home our spoils from the pumpkin patch and took an evening carving pumpkins. Lena decided that she was very interested in all that was going on. Was it something good to eat? They were displayed during the evening outside but came in on the mantle over night. Bob's is the one on the left, Emily's on the right. It is a little "Picasoesque".

The Pumpkin Patch

After seeing our friends and family take their children to various pumpkin patches we really felt the draw. But until we get a child of our own we have "borrow" from friends!

After ten years I finally made it home for a Fort Benton Homecoming celebration. It was a rainy, fall afternoon but it didn't kill us. We got to see the parade and watch Erik play his last home football game. Pretty special. Drove through snow on the way over but had a nice fall drive back.

Labor Day Trip to Seattle

Bob and I drove to Seattle on the Friday before Labor Day weekend. Mom, Dad and Erik flew over to meet us and to spend the weekend. Time passed very quickly, the motel was very seedy, but we had a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures from that trip.

Tacoma Waterfront

We went to visit Bob's sister Molly and her fiance Jim in Tacoma for the 4th of July. We went down to the waterfront for evening activities and then stayed for the fireworks. It was a very amazing display.

Finally

Ok, so we are pretty much as far behind the rest of the world as a couple of 20-somethings can be. We finally have a computer and the Internet at home so I thought that I could get us online. I really enjoy staying caught up with friends on their blogs, so I thought, "What the heck?". Hopefully I will figure everything out and get some pictures posted!
