Horses!

Along with pigs we also got to visit the horses.

Mae was not excited about them either. Distance was better.

Etta started with hay.

And then got to enter the corral and feed the horses cake.

Story Time

Of course we went to story time while in Fort Benton. The new librarian, Lila, read the books. Etta enjoyed some pre-story reading reading. While Mae tried to figure out what was going on.
Then stuff started happening.
Finally some stories to focus on.
Mae was plumb tuckered by the time we got home.
Etta was just faking...
Etta and I also got our hair trimmed that morning. She was not happy about it and I didn't get any pics...

Dirt

Is the dirt in Montana different? I don't think so. The girls just like to play in the dirt. As does Bob.
And Blogger has a "new look" and format, so that may take some getting used to. *Sigh*

Try #2

So, this last hiatus wasn't really my fault. The Dell died and I had to get it fixed up. But...now we should be good to go. (Famous last words...)

Feeding the pigs was a daily event with Grandpa Eddy. Etta would go right in the pen and dump the treats for the pigs. Much braver than I would be!!

She even got to pet a pig. She said, "It feels coarse, like a brush".

Mae was content just peeking through the fence. That boar was HUGE! I don't even know what I could compare it to to help give some perspective. Maybe...the size of a mid-size love seat? Only solid.

Spring Break - Lincoln

On our way to MT on March 31st we made our traditional stop in Lincoln. And posed with the wood carving guy.

Mae was afraid of it at first and then conquered her fear. And grabbed his nose.

Even to the point that she would pose alone. Reminded me of this.

Easter

So....probably not a good sign when it's been so long that you've put new pictures on the computer that you can't remember how to hook up the camera....well, I just dumped a whole BUNCH of pictures, so I should be able to do multiple posts over the next few, many, days.

Easter Sunday!

I did not get a picture of the girls in their Easter dresses. They are not that in to dressing up and so trying to get nice pictures of them is nearly impossible. But they were cute. You can trust me on that one!

Bob, Etta and The Girls went up to Steve & Cathy's right after church. Mae napped and I . . . well, I don't remember now what I did, but I'm sure it was important...

They dyed some eggs.

And made some chow mein noodle nests that we later filled with M & M eggs and enjoyed.

The Girls hid 50 plastic Easter that the girls had a wonderful time finding after Mae and I arrived.

Etta wasn't really into finding eggs her first two Easters. But Mae was All. Over. that business.

Etta was concerned about how many eggs *she* found. And which eggs were *hers*.

Mae just liked finding eggs and carrying the baskets around.

They finished the evening playing in the NEW box that Grandma Cathy brought home. Together. With minimal fighting. We have hope!

Blast from the Past

In addition to being "on the farm" this week, I have also been hurriedly making photo books because of a great sale on Snapfish. So I have been a little neglectful with the blog. But as I was doing the books I rediscovered this pic:

that I realized I hadn't put on the blog at the time.

It was taken at the MSU Homecoming football game that we were able to attend the first weekend of last October.

It was quite warm that day and Mae was *very* tired from how busy we had been all week.

It's amazing where babies can sleep. Thankfully the lady behind us let me borrow some sunscreen!
