Day Thirty

Etta: I'll just sit back here.

Mommy: No! What are you doing?! You can't sit back there!

Etta: Yes I can. We're friends!!

Absolutely. Love. It.

When she is being kind and gentle and loving to her sister that is.

Day Twenty-Nine

No pic but...Mae started saying, "Mamamamamamamamama..." today. And not necessarily in a random, "Wow, that's a fun new sound" kind of way, but in a "Mom, get yourself over here and do . . . for me!" Kind of hard for Bob as Etta's first two words were "Bob" and "Dada". It works for me! (Ask me in a day or two if I am still enjoying it so much.)

Day Twenty-Eight

Becoming a sitting pro.

And I may have spoken a little too soon about "not napping".

She even slept through almost thirty minutes of three trombones playing only 10 feet away.

Day Twenty-Seven

Good-bye naps and hello "quiet time".

Let's just say that the combination of being three weeks shy of three years old and a "broken" Soothie seems to have broken my big girl of naps. It will be a rough transition

Day Twenty-Six

While daddy was playing hymns at at local nursing home we made up a new card game. It's a lot like UNO, only using pinochle cards. We're working hard to get ready for you Baba Eddy!

And Mae's second bottom tooth broke through this evening. Miss Chompers Pants as Grandma Cynthia was saying...

Day Twenty-Five AND 7 Month Annibirthery

Yes, the 7 month annibirthery was spent in the car. We drove through pouring rain, gale force winds, snow, hail and sunshine. Overall it was a fine drive. Etta did great as always. Mae did really well until about the casino. She was then *done* with the car and proceeded to cry pretty much all the way home. But as soon as we got here - and I shoved some food into her - she was a happy camper in her walker and motored around.

We are so blessed that we are able to spend so much time in Montana with my family. I know that many others don't have that option.

We stopped at "the fishes". Both girls were happy to be out of the car and did not want to stay in one place.

Etta enjoying a giant meat stick when we got home. Her third one of the day.

The annibirthery girl. She still likes to have those legs drawn up. I think part of it was that she was in her car seat for about 11 hours today.

Etta trying to be a big girl helper and straighten little sister's legs out. It is a far cry from her own 7 month annibirthery.

Day Twenty-Four

Today was a stay-on-the-farm and play day for Etta & Bob.

Checking out the pigs from the bed of the truck.

A closer view from the cow catcher.

And along with driving the truck Etta also got to drive the tractor. Pure joy.

And then she was off to her first branding.

She loves farming. Do you see?

Keeping a tally of the cows, I'm sure.
