Snow Day!

This past Wednesday we got a lot of snow. A lot for Lewiston that is. And while it wasn't an official snow day, we did our best.

Grandma Cathy Blankie

Mae got her Grandma Cathy Blankie for Christmas.

[The blanket on the right is Etta's Grandma Cathy blanket which she adores.]

She loves it.



She also loved a lot of stuff that other people got.

So much that she made a pile of a variety of things that other people got on top of her blankie and rolled on it.

Locomotive Park

We again hit Locomotive Park for the light display numerous times this year. We had our little routine that took 15-20 minutes and then we were good to go. Etta & I actually went down one Saturday this November and decorated two trees of our own. She loved that we had "our" trees. Hoping to do a few more next year!


First stop: The caboose

Third stop: "Our trees". The purple & gold in the fore ground (The Bengal Tree) and the red and green Oreo in the background.

Fourth stop: Dancing with the penguins.

Fifth stop: Tiny tree forest



Sixth stop: Gingerbread men!

I recommend enlarging the above picture to get the full affect. Etta front & center and Mae being a goofball off to one side.

Last stop: Giant musical tree. The lights flash in time to the music.

And a look at the magical forest that we would walk through to get back to the car.
