Some new toys

Etta got ... a few ... new toys for her birthday. Everyone was very generous and the girl will not be wanting for something to do for quite a while. Here are a couple of "action" shots.

[Etta likes to grab the balls after they come out of the train. And she likes to block them from being able to come out. But when she does that she gets really ticked that they aren't showing up!]

A girl and her curl

Etta has never had very much hair. Although it has really been getting longer and so we think it also appears darker. One day when she was eating I noticed that she had two nice little curls above her ears. It may take a close look - but they are there!

Fun in the sun

Last Friday we loaded up and headed over to Christine's to watch the boys while Christine got in a run. [Note: We have a 14 mile run this weekend and our half-marathon next weekend. We are over half way through our training and looking forward to the full 26.2!]

The kids played outside and had a great time!

A milestone

Last Monday we got the official "okay" for Etta to be in the forward facing car seat. She absolutely. Loves. It. Looks all around and takes in the scenery. Bummer for me is that when she falls asleep on the way home from somewhere I just can't heft the seat inside and set her in her crib. Pluses and minuses for everything I guess.

MT Grandma and Gramps

We were so blessed that my folks could come for Etta's birthday. It was a fun-filled, action-packed three days. Hopefully it will be a tradition!
